Happy new year from the windy city! Right now, mr lulu and I are sitting waiting for our table at rick bayless’s frontera grill. The mariachi band is playing (loudly) behind me. Isn’t it great I can post this from my smartphone?
We’ve had a whirlwind tour of chicago so far. We’ve eaten (and eaten), (and eaten with uncle stan and bruce) and been to the field museum, the art institute, the willis (sears) tower, and the shedd aquarium. Tomorrow, as promised to mr lulu, we’re going to the museum of science and industry. He read devil in the white city, and really wants to go! Sunday is lunch with matt and missy and dinner with aunt gloria and jeff.
Of course, there’s no way to cram EVERYTHING into this trip. So many places to eat and drink at! And still museums, churches, and places to see.
But for now, I’d like dry feet. We got caught in a brutal little thunderstorm and I’m still not quite dry!
So my fine friends, happy new year! May your stitches be straight, your friends be merry, and your health be keen.
